The Austin Health Library engaged the services of
Insync surveys to
run a survey for 2 weeks in April 2010. The survey generated 495 responses.
Percentage of respondents by site:
- Austin Hospital 63.5%
- Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital 13.7%
- Royal Talbot Rehabililtation Centre
10.5%
- Mercy Hospital for Women 9.9%
Percentage of respondents by demographic:
- Doctors: 22.3%
- Nurses/Midwives: 30.5%
- Scientists: 5.3%
- Allied health: 24.4%
- Students: 9.5%
- Other: 7.9%
Weighted performance index: the Library recorded an overall
score of 83.0%. This places the Austin Health Library at the very top
of libraries that have surveyed with Insync surveys over the last
2 years and reflects a score increase of 2.8% since the previous survey in
2007 (Other libraries recently surveyed and included in the Insync surveys database
are some of the major tertiary institutions, (eg. Monash University, ANU,
University of NSW)
Overall satisfaction with the library service was 5.92 (out of 7) which
while slightly down from the previous survey, still places the library in the
top 25% of libraries surveyed in the last 2 years.
