- The e-prints repository is an online service developed to host the full-text of material produced by Austin staff
- It contains the full text of articles, conference papers, book chapters and other refereed publications.
- It is an Open Access repository, meaning material is available to everyone over the Internet.
- Self-archiving (authors load their work themselves)
- Library archiving (authors send their work to the library to archive)
- Copyright and author permissions are managed by the Austin Health Library
- Different versions of the work can be published depending on publisher
- Pre-print (the version sent to the publisher prior to refereeing)
- Post-print (the final version prior to publication but NOT the published version)
- Published version (this is the least common version allowed and often prohibited by publishers)
